Fly with ICARUS!

We all know the story of the Greek mythical character ICARUS!

In Greek Mythology, the story is that Icarus, and his father, Master Craftsman Daedalus who was the architect of the Labyrinth of Crete, were imprisoned by Theseus who was the King of Athens and enemy of Minos.

Icarus and Daedalus escaped using wings that Daedalus had constructed from birds’ molted feathers, threads from blankets, the leather straps from their sandals, and beeswax. Before escaping, Daedalus warned Icarus not to fly too low or the water would soak the feathers and not to fly too close to the sun or the heat would melt the wax. Icarus ignored Daedalus’s instructions not to fly too close to the sun, causing the beeswax in his wings to melt. Icarus fell from the sky, plunged into the sea, and drowned. The myth gave rise to the idiom, to “Fly too close to the Sun!”

It’s a great story and hopefully sound advice that has helped many people by warning them of caution in whatever their circumstances are.

In the case of the Rebel Custom Guitars “ICARUS” Guitar, and beautiful yet simply designed double cutaway, the wings will most definitely not fall off :)
