There’s a lot of love for the Malmsteen Shreds and all guitarists probably love the Malmsteen Stratocaster even more! Those imposing scalloped frets, the beautiful cream body and the vintage large head shape are all highly desirable. So desirable in fact that Fender made a signature guitar for Malmsteen that has all those appointments.

But a 9.5″ radius ? Who – besides the big fella – shreds on a profile that old and outdated ?

Enter the Rebel Custom Guitars Malmstrat; all the beauty of the vintage styling with the modern characteristics that you’d expect, including a 12″ radius and a modern, thin C Shaped neck profile.

The body is contoured to be a little smaller than the Fender vintage original, and this is both to avoid copyright issues but also to make the guitar a little lighter. Weighing in at 3.4kg fully loaded as in the photos, the guitar is designed to showcase the guitarist’s playability and not their back strength! And speaking of playability, with an action of 1.3mm at the 12th, smooth, thin rear neck profile and the deep scallops, this guitar is guaranteed to be the best playing Stratocaster ever made. The reason we say that in confidence, is that there are very few stratocaster necks like this one, given it’s 12″ radius and modern rear profile, plus the JESCAR stainless frets being polished and level and the balance of the bridge with the Titanium nut.

The tuners are stagged so therefore String Trees are not required as there is sufficient pressure on the nut, however there is one included in the case for those who prefer the aesthetics of this over it’s function.

This is indeed a perfect blend for the Malmsteen fans who want the look and the most Modern appointments!

The guitar was made in 2022 and used in some studio recordings but never gigged. It is therefore in mint condition and marked as used for that reason only.

The guitar comes with the contoured PVC hard case as showing in the photos, but can be replaced if required.
